Typhoon Time: a very simple pre-purchasing of time at discounted rates which work out cheaper than our standard call out rates. You only pay for parts, if required.

Response times are geared to minimising business disruption and are managed by our customer support team, who are on hand to offer you maximum support. Our offices house a substantial warehouse and stock-holding facility to ensure we have the parts you need instantly. It’s a service that has taken us from being a simple provider for businesses, to a true partner.

One thing the majority of our wonderful clients will probably say is that we are ‘different’, and we love that. Perhaps the epitome of ‘different’ is our illustrious and infamous Sales & Marketing Director Debs Gwinnell.
‘Hurricane’ Debs – French for 3 years, well-educated despite her best efforts not to be, happy either side of a film camera (did we say ‘outgoing personality’?), short-film producer and director, TT Marshall, spent a career in marketing for Disney, Jim Henson and various film companies – she is a true force of nature. Why don’t we let her introduce some of the team?
“Typhoon House was created by a guy, always a bit of a rebel, who I’ve grown quite attached to over the years, Geoff McCann. (Editor’s note: they are married!)
“Professionally, he’s one of the most highly skilled engineers around, having kept fleets of aeroplanes flying and headed up Cathay Pacific’s quality assurance. Back on planet earth (where he occasionally resides), he cruises the Island on his Triumph Rocket lll and maintains his frankly astonishing photographic skills. Bristling with attitude and an eccentric sense of humour, he is, quite simply, the daddy!
And what a team he’s built! It’s not easy to find like-minded people who can balance a sense of fun with purpose and professionalism, but we’ve done it.

The amazing customer support team and office-based staff range from rally co-drivers to fantasy authors, and pretty much everything in-between! It really is a team like no other.”
How we do it: Business ‘alchemy’
Just what exactly can a business expect when they work with us? You’ll be getting occasional helpful emails about road closures, impending holidays, TT race schedules and bad weather forecasts. You’ll also get a Valentine’s message from Cloud (you’ll meet Cloud at the end of this piece with Debs), and maybe a Hop Tu Naa one too. You may even get a poem at Christmas. You’ll occasionally be asked to enter some fun competitions or answer fundamentally unimportant questions.
But, perhaps more importantly to you, you’ll also receive the most conscientious level of service and support from a team that do genuinely care about your business, as much as we do about ours.
And finally, there’s a certain 4-legged member of the team. Visitors to the purpose built offices in Douglas are met with a lolling tongue and wagging tail from an English Sheepdog called Cloud, obviously!
